Dr. Muneeb Ilyas is a double board-certified, fellowship-trained Mohs Micrographic and Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgeon. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and an Associate of the American College of Mohs Surgery.

Dr. Ilyas earned his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, with distinction, from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. He obtained his medical degree from Midwestern University in Arizona. During medical school, he completed a year-long research fellowship with the Department of Dermatology at the Mayo Clinic, significantly contributing to the literature on cutaneous oncology. Additionally, Dr. Ilyas participated in numerous clinical trials on photodynamic therapy and skin cancer treatment at the Cleveland Clinic.

His postgraduate training includes an internship at Lincoln Medical Center in the Bronx, New York, followed by his role as Chief Resident during his dermatology training at Larkin Palm Springs Hospital. Dr. Ilyas further specialized by completing a dually accredited fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery, recognized by the American College of Mohs Surgery and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, at Larkin Palm Springs Hospital and Hollywood Dermatology in South Florida.

Following his extensive training, Dr. Ilyas provided essential skin cancer care to the underserved population in the rural Shenandoah Valley region of Virginia. He brings his specialized training, skills, and vast knowledge of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and general dermatology to our practice, making a significant impact on our community.
